From July 4 – 14, thousands of the world’s best singers will be in Cincinnati USA for the 2012 World Choir Games. See hundreds of choirs from Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, North America and South America competing in 23 categories over 11 thrilling days. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience.  

Known as the “Olympics of Choral Music,” the World Choir Games promotes the ideal that “Participation is the highest honor.”  Amateur choirs of all experience levels are welcome. Choirs can participate in The Champions Competition, The Open Competition or as a festival participant.

Cincinnati USA – the Greater Cincinnati region that includes Northern Kentucky – is a vibrant travel and leisure destination on the scenic Ohio River. Known for its major league sports and world-class arts and culture, a New York Times travel writer in July 2009 described the region as having “an artsy swagger.”

On June 18, 2009, Cincinnati USA was formally introduced as the host city for the 2012 World Choir Games. Expected to bring as many as 20,000 participants from up to 70 countries, this will be the largest convention booking and the biggest international event in the history of Cincinnati USA.
